Vehicle wrapping
How to document a vehicle wrap
The dispute that hurts is “that scratch was already there,” not a missing invoice. The paint before the first panel is touched, then the days the car actually moved, on one link. That is the job a vehicle wrapping tool is doing when it is useful.
Design files, print, and the quote can stay where they already live. A mockup on the job is a photo and a comment. That is a note with a time, not a signature.

Your public link
Draft on your phone
SMS or WhatsApp opens with this filled in. The shop sends it. Opeo does not.
A timeline that stays familiar
Shops that stop retelling the job keep one timeline, usually named Vehicle wrap. The customer sees the same kind of page every visit. The example above is Full color change · RAV4 at Lineform Wraps.
1. Drop-off
Drop-off is the damage record, and it is stronger if the owner is still there. The panels in the wrap belong in the note. The photos that settle a scratch later are every panel that will be wrapped, plus a close-up of each chip, scratch, or dent already in the paint.
2. Prep
A prep step earns a place when sanding or removal is its own day. Same-day wraps do not need it. When the step is there, one wide shot after prep and before vinyl is the useful photo.
3. Install day
One install step is enough for most wraps. A second belongs on the timeline only if the car regularly stays. The photo for that day is where the work stopped, not a fresh set of every panel.
4. Reveal
Ready means you would hand over the key. The finished car is the part they enjoy. Four sides is plenty at the reveal, and fewer if drop-off already used most of the photos. The intake set is the one that protects the shop.
A text that still makes sense later
These are the two texts worth sending: one when the car stays, one when it is ready. Both name the shop and the same link. The message goes out from the shop’s phone. Opeo does not send it and does not keep the chat.
At drop-off
Hi, this is Lineform Wraps. Your wrap is on this page. I will add photos as the days go: https://opeo.io/fszZ1NF/
When the car is ready
Hi! This is Lineform Wraps. Your job is completed and ready for pickup. Check details: https://opeo.io/fszZ1NF/
Enough photos, not a gallery
The frames that matter are the ones you would want open on their phone during the argument. Matching the angle before and after beats another angle of the same panel.
| Stage | What to shoot | How many |
|---|---|---|
| Paint before vinyl | Hood, roof if wrapped, each fender, doors, bumpers. Close-up of any chip or scratch. | 8–12, more if the damage is the point |
| Each work day | Where you stopped | 1 |
| Reveal | Four sides, matching the drop-off angles where you can | 4–6 |
The scratch dispute is won at drop-off, not at the reveal. A full intake plus a beauty set does not fit in 15 photos, so shops on that limit keep the damage and skip extra finished shots. Starter (30) covers a solid intake and a short reveal. Pro (60) covers both sets. Nothing in the app asks for a specific corner. This is the habit, not a form.
Plan limits are per job, not per step. Pricing lists 15 on Free, 30 on Starter, 60 on Pro, and 150 on Scale. A short video uses one of those slots too.
Common questions
Can the customer approve the design inside Opeo?
You can put the mockup on the timeline as a photo and they can comment on the job page. That is a note with a time, not a signature workflow.
What if they call every morning?
The link from drop-off is the one they already have. Later mornings only need a new photo on that same page, not a new job and not a new thread.
Does Opeo send those texts?
No. The draft opens in SMS or WhatsApp on your phone. You send it.
The same habit, on a real job
The short version for someone comparing tools is on the Vehicle wrapping overview. The first car can go on a free job link.
